The Opportunity:

“Get in on the ground floor implementation of our new Human Capital Management system in the coming year” 

The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for theright person to fill a full-time Term position for an HR Generalist - HCM Project. This key role will supportHuman Resources in HCM/HRIS Implementation and in foundation setting work,including policy, program, systems and process updates and development. Inaddition, this role will contribute to the development of a People and HRStrategy and support HR leadership and the HR Department with research, projectwork and generalist human resource work.

As our preferred candidate, youwill have:

Post-secondary degree in a Human Resources or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may beconsidered) CPHR designation preferred Minimum of five years human resource generalist experience, including skills and experience in developing HR policies and programdevelopment, and the set-up of HR program administration or payroll/human resource systems. Aptitude for understandingand translating business needs and outcomes into human resource outcomes,programs, and people strategies In-depth knowledge of HRprinciples, functions, methods and best practices Excellent analytical,organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and oralcommunication skills Collaborative skills andability to work with multiple stakeholders across all levels of theorganization Ability to manage multiple,sometimes competing, timelines and deadlines effectively Ability to influence,advise, and disseminate information in a well thought-out, logical, andeffective manner at all levels of the organization Ability to strategize andformulate business plans Ability to create anddeliver executive level presentations and materials Knowledge of and ability tosuccessfully utilize a variety of decision making, consultation and stakeholderengagement tools and methodologies Good working knowledge ofand ability to interpret and apply related legislation and standards

Affiliation:

Exempt

Remuneration:

$42.26 to $52.82 per hour.

Hours of Work:

75hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening andweekend work may be required.

The term of this position is anticipated to be 24months.
