Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the materials planning coordinator strives to ensure the maintenance inventory and other production material (consumables) are maintained in good and acceptable stock levels, by using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS – Manager Plus), regular cycle counts and Kanban System.

The incumbent will focus on Receiving items, checks and verifies all items in a timely manner and distributes received items to assigned departments. Enters receipt of the documentation into our internal purchase order system and/or Manager+.
Contacts Vendors/Supplies to search for new spare parts or to keep up the current maintenance inventory levels accurate. Issues Purchasing Requisition as needed to assist maintenance and other departments. Prepare and schedule maintenance plans. Review technician’s feedback together with maintenance supervisors and prepare follow up plan as needed and directed. Request and coordinate with Vendors/OEM technicians and spare parts for planned maintenance work.

What you will be doing:

Understands and follows Company, Health & Safety Policies/Procedures Follows Maintenance SOPs, Inventory Control, Manager Plus and PO System Meets Food and Safety Standards and how this can affect Quality System Consistently work towards continuous improvement, 5S and Housekeeping Leads daily cycle count and quarterly physical counts of maintenance inventory and make the necessary adjustments as required in the CMMS System Reconcile and Manage inventory spare parts, consumables and maintain files in an organized manner. Maintain tracking records of spare parts and materials send out for repairs or to be fabricated and ensure proper follow up with Vendor and feedback to requisitioner are done on time. Ensure critical spare parts are readily available with correct specs into M+ System. Check and verify all received items are correct and locate them properly into stockrooms. Deliver items to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in all stock locations Prepare and set in order spare parts and materials required prior to PM work and/or weekend work. Issue Purchasing Requisition to replenish stock item or buy new spare parts and materials. Contact suppliers and obtain quotes prior to create new purchasing requisition. Enter receipt of the items into the internal purchase order system Prepare, schedule, and review PM plans for plant equipment. Enters work orders into CMMS system. Review Work Orders’ feedback and prepare follow-up plans as needed and directed by manager. Follow up with production on equipment availability for PM. Contact vendors/OEM to coordinate planned maintenance jobs. Other related duties as required as assigned by Maintenance Manager

What you will bring to the table:

High School Graduation Certificate and any trade certification would be an asset. Must have industrial/manufacturing experience. Knowledge of Eptura-Manager Plus would be an asset Previous experience as an inventory control function and CMMS would be an asset. Have basic mechanical/electrical knowledge would be an asset. Strong/effective communication skills and present in a professional manner Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for accuracy and attention to details Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; specifically, Excel, Word and Power Point Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high volume fast paced environment. Ability to work weekends as required for quarterly inventory counts. Ability to lift to 50lbs.
