Senior Accountant

Advance your career as a Senior Accountant at Viterra. What you’ll do

Review and support the accounting functions for asset maintenance, lease administration, and Capital Project reporting Work closely with team members to complete month end close processes including accruals, fixed asset close, and lease accounting Support the execution and development of internal control processes Contribute to enhancing financial reporting processes and systems Prepare journal entries for posting to the general ledger, perform detailed variance analysis, and complete account reconciliations Mentor accountants on internal systems and processes

What you bring to our team

Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis The capability to work on a variety of tasks by maintaining organized habits and attention to detail The ability to analyze information objectively and make a reasoned judgement At least 5 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in finance or accounting and a CPA designation Current digital skills, including the use of sophisticated database and spreadsheet software within a Windows-based operating environment
