Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Specialist Transportation.
The person in this role will deal with the Inbound Transportation coordinators and the National Transportation for routing guide implementation. They will work on continuous Improvement, projects leadership , processes and metrics development, replenishment optimization and supplier performance challenges.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Cost analysis of inbound transportation activities Finance and administration reporting. Support the development and maintenance of processes and reports that enable day-to-day operations for all collect transportation moves, including over the road, intermodal, and ocean freight. Develop and continuously improve processes to ensure the timely and accurate collection of supplier transportation allowances and payment of carrier invoices, as well manage accrual management, redlight management, and performance reporting. Participate in a culture that focuses on network ownership and prioritizes customer service. Maintain technology such as TMS and P44 to ensure our inbound program is best in class for network visibility. Develop reporting and process that enables an effective backhaul management program. Develop reporting and process that enables effectively cubed and routed 3pl shipments. Claims Management and freight invoice support / training After hours & week-end rotations as required Other duties as assigned
What you have to offer:
5 years of experience in inventory control, transportation/ supply chain experience including international freight experience Relevant designation/ credentials in logistics, supply chain, and/ or transportation (, CITT, CPIM or PMAC, ERP) is preferred#LI-DS1
