Position: Sr. Underwriter - Real Estate - Law
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM EST
Location: Oakville , Hybrid 2-3 day in office
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: 92K +

This is a hybrid role where you will be required to go into the Oakville office 3 times a week

Responsibilities
• Collaborating closely with agents, brokers, lenders, and clients, you'll gather essential data and offer expert advice.
• Provide second level underwriting support to law clerks and intermediate law clerks for commercial transactions
• Underwrite and issue commercial title insurance policies for commercial real estate transactions across Canada
• A strong customer focus with the ability to effectively build and maintain collaborative relationships with customers as well as business partners across the organization
• Support team members by sharing knowledge, providing guidance and collaborating in order to meet deadlines

Qualifications
• Law Clerk Diploma or relevant work experience
• Approx. 10 years of real estate law clerk experience
• Technical knowledge of the practice of real estate law and an understanding of the mechanics of a real estate transaction
• Professional and customer service focused, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Excellent computer skills – MS Office Suite
