The Opportunity
Venturis Capital is looking for a BI Analyst to join our team remotely as a full-time contractor . As the BI Analyst you will work within our Dynamics 365 ERP Team (Finance & Operations specifically) to help inform strategic decision making. You will be responsible for utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the BI Analyst your key responsibilities will include: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards Contribute to and maintain the data catalog and report inventory Lead stakeholder requirements gathering and review sessions and obtain signoffs as required Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, business analyst peers, colleagues, and client stakeholders Develop user test cases and validate test results during user acceptance testing and system acceptance testing stagesRequired Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience A passion for data and visualization 3-5 years of prior experience using Power BI and SQL Server Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong documentation skills Ability to logically define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow and apply specific IT policies and procedures, and proactively acknowledge when there is a problem Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with others in a team environment Willingness to learn and take direction, and ask questions when appropriateThe base pay range for this role is: $35-$70 per hour dependent on experience.
This is a remote full-time contractor position based in Canada.
