About the Role
A small film company specialising in short documentary films about people and plants is seeking talented filmmakers to create content in various locations, including Toronto. This is a commission-based opportunity with potential for ongoing work.
Responsibilities:
- Produce a 3-5 minute documentary film about people doing interesting things with plants
- Source and develop compelling stories within the given theme (subject to company approval)
- Conduct interviews and manage all aspects of film production
- Deliver high-quality footage meeting the company's specified standards
Requirements
- Experience in documentary filmmaking, particularly in short-form content
- Strong storytelling skills with an eye for unique and engaging narratives
- Proficiency in video production, including filming and editing
- Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of production
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with subjects and producers
