Be part of our talented and growing team We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Treasury – Reporting & Analytics , to join our team, reporting to the Director, Treasury. 

You will manage one manager and will be responsible for our funding and liquidity forecasts, modeling and reporting, our financial risk monitoring, and regulatory oversight. This role can be located in either Toronto or Montreal.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Manage, prepare, and advise on annual operating plans, quarterly forecast, Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), stress test scenario analysis related to Cost of Funds, Funding Facilities, Capital and Liquidity positions, Contingency Plan and prepare recommendations and strategies.
  • Manage long term liquidity and optimization of our consolidated cost of funds and capital structure.
  • Manage financial risks, such as interest rate, foreign exchange exposure and counterparty credit risk exposures. Develop and implement monitoring models, risk tolerance threshold and guardrails, policies, and hedging strategies.
  • Special Assignments:
  • 1) In the context of project Fusion, work collaboratively with Home Bank counterparts and TBMS to develop and implement consolidated models for Interest Rate Risk regulatory reporting (IRRBB), mainly , and I3 report.
  • 2) In the context of project Fusion, work collaboratively with Home Bank counterparts to develop and implement consolidated models for liquidity management and regulatory reporting, including LCR, NCCF and Liquidity Horizon.
  • 3) On an interim basis, support the regulatory reporting team.
  • Oversee all OSFI regulatory requirements relating to capital, liquidity and interest rate, including monitoring, reporting, and forecasting key metrics, ensuring compliance to policies and new OSFI guidance surveillance and act as the Bank’s primary liaison with the Canadian Banker Association (CBA) for your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare ALCO, Monthly Business Review (MBR) and Board meeting material, and provide support for official corporate presentations. Take an active role in Monthly ALCO meetings.
  • Lead, supervise, coach, train and perform evaluations of direct report.
  • Provide Financial Reporting team support for quarterly financial statements, MD&A and audit activities relating to area of expertise.
  • Act as Business Compliance Officer for treasury, and develop and maintain treasury dashboard, risk metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry trends and practices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Master’s in Finance/Mathematic or Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Professional designation (CFA, CTP, or CPA) or MBA
  • A minimum experience of 10 years in treasury management, financial analysis, and risk management and 5 years in employee management. Experience in financial services with strong level of understanding of the regulatory environment we operate in.
  • Positive team leader with excellent communication skills (verbal and written, English and French) and ability to synthetize complex information.
  • Excellent organizational skills, you are autonomous, able to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines with high quality level.
  • You demonstrate initiative, accountability, data integrity with strong attention to details.
  • You have strong proven financial analytical and modelling skills with a strategic mindset and demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • You have strong computer skills: Advanced Excel (VBA, Macro is desired), Word, Access, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Workday, Adaptive Insight.
  • Experience in working with external constituents, including ratings agencies, analysts, bankers, lawyers and stakeholders.
