The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, shipping, and receiving of steel plates. You will need to be comfortable working in dusty, industrial environments with some outdoor work required.

What you need to know:

Position: Temporary to Permanent
Role: Shipper Receiver
Start Date: August 19th
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Annacis Island, BC
Pay rate: $28+/hr depending on experience and certifications

* Must be legally permitted to work permanent full-time shifts in BC, Canada *
* Must be comfortable working outdoors as required *

Advantages

Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and distribute materials, and steel plates, within the warehouse
- Receive incoming steel plate shipments, inspect them for accuracy, and verify them against purchase orders.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Identify tags, and records and retrieve materials to be used, stocked, or issued
- Operate Crane, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload steel plates safely
- Use ERP software to input, track, and manage inventory data, including receiving and shipping details
- Fills pick tickets or requests for materials from workers or vendors
- Performs other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in Shipping/Receiving and Distribution
• Previous experience working with steel preferred
• Previous experience using ERP systems preferred
• Steel-toed safety boots required
• Able to perform physically repetitive tasks while standing, walking, or sitting
• Previous Overhead Crane experience required with certification preferred
• Forklift certation and experience with larger machines
• Able to work in a variety of environments including wet, humid, particulate (dusty), cold, hot and outdoors as required
