Temporary Full-time (Cross-Site Position)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Educator, the Clinical Scholar will collaborate with all members of the multidisciplinary team in providing clinical training and mentorship to newly graduated nurses, internationally educated nurses (IENs), nurses in supervised practise status and nurses looking to upskill in accordance with the Standards of Practise as identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario. The Clinical Scholar will provide and promote an environment supportive of educational activities that enhance knowledge transfer, integration of best practices into daily work and support continuous quality improvement in clinical practice to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Certification in telemetry training required Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred Certification in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) an asset Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) an asset Completion of 12 lead ECG and cardiac rhythm interpretation certification required

  Compensation & Benefits Information

Rate of pay ranges from: $37.93 to $54.37, as per the ONA Collective Agreement Eligibility to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP).
