Payroll Supervisor, Construction Hourly

You as a Payroll Supervisor, Construction Hourly   will: 

Assist with all day-to-day aspects of the Payroll Department with a primary focus on the construction unionized population. Assist with running and overseeing the weekly construction unionized payroll that consists of 1,600 unionized employees and approximately 55 union locals. Responsible for overseeing four direct reports within the hourly construction unionized payroll as well as being part of a large payroll team. Responsible for over seeing all co-op students with on boarding and terminations each co-op term. Prepare statutory reporting and remittances. Review and approve monthly union reporting and related payments. Perform payroll accounting functions, reconciliations, and reporting. Performs additional daily tasks that the Payroll Manager provides. Respond to inquiries from employees and other stake holders in a timely and professional manner. Work in a hands-on role, with significant individual preparation as well as review and oversight over the work of others.

Is this the right role for you?

You have 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a unionized environment. You have your Payroll Compliance Professional Designation through the National Payroll Association. You have supervisor experience or have had direct reports. You can read and interpret collective bargaining agreements and determine related payroll requirements. You can learn and adapt quickly in a new environment, working with minimal supervision. You are detail oriented and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. You are able to work at the office in-person located in London, ON.
