Your Opportunity:

The Research Coordinator within the Northern Alberta Children’s Cancer program facilitates and manages clinical research activities related to pediatric oncology. Clinical research in this division includes therapeutic and non-therapeutic trials sponsored by cooperative groups (NCI, NCIC), C17, industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials. Working alongside Research Assistants, the Research Coordinator ensures functions within the area are completed as required. The principle focus is to manage research activities from study start-up to completion, ensuring adherence to ICH-GCP guidelines, data management guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Research Coordinator ensures compliance with the clinical trial protocol, checks clinical site activities, and reviews and communicates with clinical research coordinators. Duties include submitting studies for ethics approval, collaborating with various internal/external disciplines for resource impact related to trial activities, financial billing and account management, regulatory review, data management, ongoing study education for all health professionals, any associated study tracking, and audit compliance requirements. ease enter information in this field.

Description:

As a Research Assistant, you will focus on the coordination of research studies (clinical or non-clinical) from start-up to closure in collaboration with principal investigators and other research team members. You will be responsible for assisting in preparing and submitting regulatory documents for research studies; performing literature reviews, data searches and environmental scans to support research studies; and monitoring study compliance.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in a health or science-related discipline. Current registration with the applicable professional association or college as required.
