Responsibilities

What your day will look like

Lead building system design and RFQ document development for mechanical systems Lead comprehensive building utility audits for existing buildings Conduct on site system measurements for drawing development Manage energy efficiency implementation projects Organize and participate in onsite contractor meetings Manage implementation projects

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

Strong working knowledge of CAD software is preferred (AutoCAD, Revit Good written, communication and reporting skills Proficient in building code for Western Canada and ASHRAE standards Strong skills with Microsoft Office Tools (Work, Excel, PowerPoint with Access as a bonus) Capable of working independently on specific tasks and function well within a team Language skills in English is important and French would be an asset

Experience

2-5 years relevant experience in mechanical systems design University degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma from SAIT in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with foundation in building science or energy management Professional Engineer or Member-In-Training for the province of Alberta is an asset Experience with buildings mechanical heating and cooling system design and ventilation systems
