**About the Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage design projects from conceptualization to production.
- Perform engineering calculations on mechanical part and assembly designs.
- Assist in the design and documentation of test facilities.
- Assemble and qualify new tool designs using various testing methods.
- Manage and maintain design documents following American Petroleum Industry (API) standards.
- Write and maintain technical documents on tool performance specifications, schematics, and assembly procedures.
- Create and document project schedules and progress.
- Maintain electronic files for assembly and part drawings.
- Create technical models and data sheets for sales and marketing purposes.
- Provide technical input for the design and redesign of downhole tools.
- Participate with the engineering group to help solve technical problems.

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years Experience in Engineering Design in a manufacturing environment for oil and gas downhole completion/service equipment.
- Experience with CNC manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Experience with precision measuring equipment, tolerancing and part interconnectivity.
- Excellent oral and written communicator.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal oversight.
- A team player with the ability to step out of their comfort zone when necessary.
