NAIT'sElectrical Engineering Technology program is a nationally accredited andinternationally recognized program that provides a comprehensive study ofelectrical principles and practices. The program will provide graduates withthe skills to perform entry-level roles in several industry disciplines,including power systems operation and protection, maintenance andcommissioning, electrical machines, industrial and commercial design, powerelectronics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
TheElectrical Engineering Technology program has an opening for a full-time continuousinstructor who is an energetic leader, committed to student success, withoutstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Thesuccessful candidate will:
have strong technical knowledge in ElectricalEngineering fundamentals have technical knowledge and experience in commercialand industrial design be able to work both independently and within ateam environment bring passion, enthusiasm, and ideas that willpositively contribute to the advancement and growth of the ElectricalEngineering Technology program familiarity with Microsoft Office and industryrelated software tools are essential.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present learning outcomes andactivities in a classroom, laboratory and industry setting Participate in curriculum development, programreviews and course reviews Facilitate the learning process by utilizinginstructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of coursematerials Manage instructional delivery and set the toneand climate for a safe and effective learning environment Create assessment tools to evaluate thelearning process and maintain progress records Provide ongoing coaching and tutoring forstudents to maximize student success and retention and respond to studentissues Utilize appropriate educational technology forpresentations, communications and program promotions Maintain professional and ethical relationshipswith students, colleagues and industry partners Utilize regular student feedback to identifyand implement instructional improvement Improve the quality of instruction throughprofessional development activities Other duties as assignedQualifications:
Minimum requirements are a related TechnologyDiploma with several years of related experience. An additional related advanced degree wouldbe an asset. Industry experience in design using relevantcodes and software.-
