F. Ménard is currently seeking a person to be responsible for the loading, unloading and transporting of piglets , where and when required, and handling the animals with care.

Based in: Ange-Gardien, Montérégie

Schedule: Permanent, full time, day shift, average of 51 hours a week

Specifically, the carrier’s role is to:

Inspect the truck before each departure Count and load the piglets into the truck Transport the piglets from one farm to another. Unload the piglets on arrival at the farm and do a re-count. Do the selection in the nursery. Drive and maintain the truck in a professional manner. Comply with established biosafety rules. Do vehicle verification reports, as well as all paperwork related to his/her duties. Contact customers in advance to schedule arrivals.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a Class 1 driver’s license Can maintain good interpersonal relations and show good judgment. Is in good physical condition and has a calm temperament. Possesses some knowledge of transportation regulations. Will be committed to respect animal welfare standards. Has some knowledge of diseases’ symptoms. Possesses interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate.

In addition to having technical knowledge, the carrier must demonstrate considerable discipline in applying the various regulations, standards and guidelines set out by the company.
