Collaborative Creator:

  • Work hand-in-hand with game designers, artists, and more to develop engaging gameplay experiences that seamlessly blend technical implementation with the creative vision.
  • Leverage your game development expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from system design and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Technical Leader & Mentor:

  • Propose and build improvements to the game's core systems, paving the way for exciting new features.
  • Provide technical leadership within your cross-functional game development team.
  • Guide the team's technical direction and foster a culture of excellence by actively participating in code reviews and pairing sessions.

Performance Magician:

  • Optimize game performance across various platforms and devices, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for kids playing in schools or at home.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of game development experience, particularly in game tooling and pipelines.
  • A true passion for games: You combine your love for games with the ability to design and build high-quality software.
  • Live Ops Expert: Proven track record in building tools for live service games, especially in a web-based environment.
  • Technical Mastermind: Deep understanding of design patterns, algorithms, memory management, and performance optimization.
  • Coding Chameleon: Strong foundation in both scripting and strongly-typed object-oriented languages.
  • Best Practices Champion: Knowledgeable about software engineering best practices like coding standards, code reviews, build processes, and testing.

Tech Stack:

  • Bespoke HTML5 game engine and editor built on top of PixiJS and written in TypeScript
  • Game Editor: Electron App written using React/Typescript
