Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to oversee our Optical Sensor and Solutions portfolio used for dimensional metrology in the automotive and automation manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, optical sensor technologies, software, and a deep understanding of the automotive and automation sectors. You are the product champion and will be pivotable to the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for optical sensors and solutions targeting dimensional metrology applications in the automotive and automation manufacturing industries.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities, including TAM, SAM, and SOM.Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure the successful development and launch of products.Define product requirements, specifications, and performance criteria based on customer and market needs.Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer satisfaction.Work closely with key customers and industry stakeholders to gather feedback, build relationships, and drive product adoption.Develop and deliver product training, sales tools, and marketing collateral to support the sales and marketing teams.Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features, pricing, and positioning.Act as the product champion within the organization, effectively communicating product vision, strategy, and performance to senior management and cross-functional teams.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure product compliance and competitiveness.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred. MBA would be considered an asset.Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on optical sensors or related technologies used for dimensional metrology.Strong understanding of dimensional metrology applications and technologies in the automotive and automation manufacturing industries.Proven track record of successfully managing products from concept to market.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and business case development.Knowledge of product lifecycle management and Agile development methodologies.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the photonics, automotive, QA and metrology industries.Clear understanding of in-line, at-line and off-line metrology use cases and how to market to each.Proficiency in product management software tools and methodologies.Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to optical sensors and dimensional metrology.What We Offer:
