This role is based out of Ontario

What you will be doing:

Utilize appropriate surveyor equipment, software and systems to efficiently perform duties. Read and interpret construction drawings. Perform accurate layout work. Coordinate surveying activities with the assigned engineer to meet the construction requirements. Support and promote the company’s Quality Assurance and HSE Program. Other duties as required.

What we are looking for:

A minimum of 3 years experience working in a heavy civil/commercial construction environment. An understanding of surveying principals, practices, and procedures of land surveying and can accurately interpret, read and calculate construction drawings and apply them in the field. A solid understanding of surveying equipment including GPS, total stations and data collectors. A strong knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office. Experience in working in a unionized environment and within terms of a collective agreement(s). Knowledge of standard Healthy, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and practices in the construction industry. Must have a valid driver’s license. FI-FO available and Camp accommodations.
