Brand and Ecosystem Sponsorships, Specialist (14 Month Contract)

The Brand and Ecosystem Sponsorships, Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving Interac's visibility and engagement through strategic sponsorship and partner marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Leader, Sponsorships & Partner Marketing—the role will lead successful program delivery across many areas including leading and executing live events and activations for both internal and external audiences that bring the Interac brand and corporate strategy to life. Assist in the strategy development and coordination of partner marketing efforts that promote our products and solutions, and deliver impactful business development engagement that foster strong relationships with ecosystem partners. 

You’llbe responsible for: 

You will lend your expertise and execute planning and communications tactics such as brief development, budget management, event planning, agency and partner relationship management that supports our sponsorship and partner marketing efforts.

Creating, supporting, and executing the sponsorship and partner marketing program and event activations​.

Maintaining ongoing relationships and coordination with external partners like ecosystem organizers, membership-based organizations and associations, and community and client partners to activate MarComm plans and maximize contract benefits​.

Maintaining the ongoing schedule of business industry, ecosystem and membership events and communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to inform, brief, and prepare them for attending events​.

Maintaining critical path and budget organization for large-scale activations and program coordination to support partner marketing and sponsorship initiatives, including invitations, logistics, site sourcing, vendor management and day of executions.​

Ensuring visibility of partner marketing, sponsorship and sales enablement activities into overall MarComm planning, campaign development and calendar management​.

Work with Corporate Communications team to integrate thought leadership into sponsorship and partner activations. Maximize MarComm channel benefits within sponsorship to drive MarComm value.

Coordinating with MarComm agencies to execute all partner marketing and sponsorship programming

Tracking and measuring ROI for partner marketing and sponsorship programming, including dashboards and quarterly MarComm reporting integration and budget management with regular updates to leadership.​

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities and identify emerging trends and potential partners that could benefit the organization.

Other duties, as assigned across the MarComm team, specifically in product and partner marketing and sponsorship coordination.

You bring: 

3-5 years’ experience in marketing and communications and/or Sponsorship/Partner Marketing. Agency experience preferred.

Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

A University degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g., Marketing, Sponsorship, Communications). 

The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

The ability to listen to, understand and respond appropriately and effectively when interacting with others. 

The skills required to prioritize a high workload effectively, respond well to pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business and partner needs. 

The attitude of a flexible team player ready to pitch in where you are needed and are a self-starter who can navigate times of ambiguity.

Proven experience in event execution, demonstrating the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute successful activations.

Solid background in building and maintaining industry or community relations, facilitating productive partnerships and collaborations.
