What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Division Manager, the Produce Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the produce departments in the Morden and Winkler Food Stores. You will establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the department in alignment with the food division strategic plan. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent and profitable operations with the goal of continually improving operations. You will manage relationships with vendors, coach team members, provide day to day direction and guidance, including performance management, training, and development. You will ensure adherence to all regulations, company policies, health and safety, food safe procedures, and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Are driven to achieve results (financial, people management, operational, Have proven ability to lead and build an effective team.  Are experienced at fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members. Are able to execute a variety of strategies to support the retail vision.  Are experienced at executing on customer experience strategies. Are an excellent communicator, with ability to consistently deliver on key company messaging (written or verbal). Have intermediate or higher computer skills, with a strong understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Are proficient and timely with administrative tasks. Can stand for extended periods of time and/or extensive walking, can lift up-to 50 lbs.  Have a valid class 5 driver’s license.  Experience in retail management preferred.
