Our investment team generates investment ideas from around the world – in virtually every investment class and category – and our investment management and research capabilities are world-class. You'll be joining one of the largest and most accomplished teams of portfolio managers, analysts and traders in the industry.

The Fixed Income Investment team manages money for investors across the globe. The group comprises expertise in Portfolio Management, Trading, Quantitative and Credit Analysis and Investment Operations. The Fixed Income group is based in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Toronto.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Provide coverage of a sector within global fixed income markets, with particular focus on the N. American region, to contribute investment ideas that generate positive performance for our clients’ funds.

Conduct in-depth fundamental research on select companies and sectors

Attend company meetings, both in-house and externally, often in coordination with Portfolio Managers and equity colleagues

Publish internal research notes that express your conviction and investment recommendations to the wider team

Perform fundamental and financial analysis to evaluate the creditworthiness of an issuer and assess the relative value of its bonds

Create and maintain forward-looking financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflows) for companies under coverage

Analyze capital structures and covenants to recommend individual bonds for our funds

Assess relative value of bonds to recommend those that will help our funds outperform respective benchmarks

Prioritize core credit coverage from a larger sector universe in coordination with the investment team

Actively participate in strategy sessions that address credit trends, investment decisions and asset allocation -- a team-based approach to investing

Effectively articulate and communicate an investment thesis and recommendation to the wider team

Participate in a collaborative team-oriented structure, working with Traders, Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Analysts and Investment Directors

Participate in regular team meetings across our range of product disciplines and in cross-asset class meetings with equity colleagues to sharpen company and sector views

What We’re Looking For

2-3+ years of experience in investment research, in either Credit or Equity

Strong knowledge of financial modelling and capital structures

Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional presence to interact effectively with investment professionals at all levels of experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
