Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Non-Ferrous Receiver (Non-Ferrous Processor) with experience for our Ajax location. Under the supervision of the Yard Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for working directly with the public, representing the company in a professional manner while directly purchasing non-ferrous scrap metals from our customers.

Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals. We will provide you with the training to identify, grade, and determine the quality of Non-Ferrous metals. Data entry into the RECY system, all purchases are processed through our RECY point-of-sale system. Communicates clearly and directly with customers and employees concerning purchases in relation to our grading system. Implements all aspects of material purchasing and inventory while properly weighing and tracking the material. Actively seek opportunities to improve quality, service, and cost of all materials and/or services. Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned. Provides backup support to department personnel when necessary. Preparing shipments and receiving equipment using forklift as required Work with a safety-oriented mindset

Qualifications

Customer service skills are a must. Must be able to always represent the company in a professional manner. Experience in operating a forklift Customer service skills Exposure to inputing data using excel Experience in metal recycling Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions Good physical fitness Ability to work as a team Excellent attendance and safety record.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

HOURS OF WORK

Permanent full-time position 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
