What you’ll do

: Perform analysis of complex problems on electrical and instrumentation equipment including low and medium voltage switch gear, electric motors, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and protection relays. Prepare Construction Work Packages (CWP’s) outlining proper repair or modification and subsequent testing of existing equipment at the complex. Provide day-to-day technical support for maintenance activities by assisting Tradespeople, Maintenance Planners and Coordinators in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation problems. Provide technical evaluations and support for turnaround related activities. Complete engineering design work for improvements and modifications to existing equipment. Complete economic analysis and risk assessments of alternative repair paths, considering effectiveness of repair along with impact to safety, environment, operation, and mean time to repair durations. Prepare tender documentation, review submissions, and recommend vendor award for major pieces of replacement equipment and repairs.

The Team: You will work closely with other functions in our Maintenance & Reliability business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Equipment Integrity, Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and Coordination.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in and:

Have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience. Have a bachelor’s degree in industrial systems, electrical or electronic systems engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Have a membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer. Education and experience within CSA, IEEE, API and IEC codes and standards, RCM methodology and maintenance management such as PEMAC MMP program, SMRP or CMRP considered an asset.
