Position: Aftercare Technician
The right candidate will have the opportunity to join our existing aftercare team comprising of very skilled, knowledgeable plumbers. Not only will you learn skills outside of the construction field, but you will have the opportunity to broaden your understanding of mechanical systems. Working closely with other like-minded team members, you will be responsible for the delivery and satisfaction of our customers and the final product.

The following abilities are a must:
- 4-5 years of plumbing experience
- Red Seal Certification, Plumbing (Class B Gas ticket is a plus)
- Full understanding of drawings and specifications for Mechanical, Architectural, and Structural with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Proficient in material take-off and material procurement
- Read and interpret documents such as work orders, manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Train and mentor apprentices and young journeypersons line under roles and responsibilities
- Understanding of sub trade’s scope/scheduling/interference
- Write work reports and correspondence using devices.
- Communicate with homeowners, developers and general contractors a professional manner.
- Follow written and verbal instructions as required
- Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude
What you will be doing:
- Identify plumbing systems and components, and diagnose issues in commercial & Intuitional and residential buildings.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Complete work reports in a timely manner
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems. With the knowledge to provide proper mechanical recommendations on equipment service intervals Instruct apprentices
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to the required shape and size
