The next iteration of our integrated approach relates to the planned export of our natural gas to markets in growing economies overseas. To achieve this aim, PCE will supply B.C.’s proposed Woodfibre LNG project, which will liquefy the natural gas and load it into vessels. The natural gas will be shipped to international markets to help supply the energy the world needs.

OUR FACILITIES
Our fully sweet natural gas operation is centralized around our main Altares shallow cut refrige plants located approximately 124 kms northwest of Fort St. John, BC near Hudson’s Hope, BC. We have a Plant, Field, and water handling division all supported by our in-house maintenance department, complete with a warehouse and maintenance shop. We generate power, recycle our produced water and make our fuel gas. We commissioned a third phase of expansion at our large central processing facility in February 2022 and are working towards completing another phase of expansion by the end of this year.

PCE has invested extensive amount of capital in our water infrastructure to facilitate high water recycling rates and a full life cycle approach to water management. We are continuously expanding our storage requirements and evaluating internal water disposal options to align with our growth strategy. PCE strongly believes in responsible development and we are continuously implementing improvements within our operations to lower emissions.

OUR CONTRACTS
The company provides renewable one-year contracts with competitive hourly person and truck rates, monthly travel pay compensation based on location/distance traveled and cell phone allowances. For those who are travelling to site from away, accommodations and meals are included at our private, fully catered operations camp. The facility is six years old and has amenities that include a theatre, gym, and a games room. Personnel also have their own private room with an ensuite bathroom.

Responsabilidades: ​

THE POSITION

Pacific Canbriam Energy is looking to hire an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team working in the Altares area. Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Lead, you will be responsible to effectively participate as a team member in the installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of site equipment.

This camp-based role requires a flexible work schedule, including a 7/7, 12-hour shift. The position demands a readiness to work extra hours and be on-call as necessary. All successful candidates will undergo a drug and alcohol test as part of our hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair issues in existing instruments to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Installation and commissioning of new equipment Perform calibration and regular inspections of instruments to maintain accuracy and functionality Update, manage, and close out work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) promptly and accurately Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs Adhere to and actively engage in PCE’s safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees Conduct all work in compliance with established procedures, standards, and company policies

THE INDIVIDUAL

This is an exciting and challenging position in a growing organization. As such, it is critical that the successful candidate possesses the following experience, certifications and requirements:

Red Seal Journeyman trade certificate 10+ years of related experience in oil and gas facilities.  Experience with PLC and SCADA systems Dual trade certification would be considered an asset. Understanding of gas plant process would be an asset Valid Class 5 drivers’ license Safety certification including First Aid, H2S Alive Fully equipped truck with all their own tooling and calibration gear Independent Contracting Documents – liability insurance, Certificate of Incorporation, proof of WCB coverage, vehicle insurance  Ability to demonstrate computer literacy
