We are seeking an experienced Contract Board Operator to join our team at Bracell. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Sweet Gas Processing Facilities in the Altares area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, and valves.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for various plant systems as required.
- Manage and oversee the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Monitor process control systems and adjust operations to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Analyze data from various sensors and instruments to ensure all systems are functioning within specified parameters.
- Respond to alarms and indicators promptly to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.
- Coordinate with field operators for hands-on adjustments and interventions in plant processes.
- Identify and diagnose operational issues in plant systems, employing a systematic approach to resolve them.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related problems, minimizing downtime and production losses.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to facilitate repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Implement corrective actions and modifications to prevent recurrence of operational issues.
- Accurately record daily production data, including throughput, product quality, and energy consumption.
- Prepare and submit reports on plant performance, highlighting any deviations or anomalies.
- Maintain detailed logs of operational adjustments, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in operating facilities, with a preference for candidates with oil & gas industry experience.
- A valid 4th class (or higher) Power Engineering Certificate, in good standing with Technical Safety BC or eligible for interprovincial transfer.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Essential safety certifications, including First Aid and H2S Alive.
- Necessary Independent Contracting Documents, including liability insurance, Certificate of Incorporation, proof of WCB coverage, and vehicle insurance.
- Knowledge of plant processes, including compression, refrigeration, and stabilization.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to adapt to various technological tools.
