We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. The selected individual will be part of a dynamic team, responsible for various accounting functions within the industry. The role involves handling customer accounts, processing credit applications, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Maintain precise records of customer credit.
• Regularly review and monitor customer credit lines and their conditions.
• Send out reminders about expiring credit lines on a monthly basis.
• Prepare credit references for various business departments.
• Accurately prepare monthly closing journal entries including various allocation and accrual expense postings.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly expense reports and their analysis.
• Support the creation of materials for various projects.
• Assist in preparing J-SOX's self-assessment documentation.
• Respond to audit requests as required.
• Participate in physical inventory count when needed.
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Adobe Acrobat, Dynamics NAV, ERP Solutions, and other software like Microsoft Power BI and SAP in daily tasks.
• Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software systems is required
• Experience with account coding is desired
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is advantageous
• Should be well-versed in Dynamics NAV and ERP solutions
• Must be able to perform account analysis and accounting entries effectively
• Familiarity with accounting functions and account reconciliation is necessary
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) is preferred
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Power BI is beneficial
• Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A degree in accounting or a related field is required.
