JOB INFO

As a Framer you will be responsiblefor constructing, erecting, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, andother materials in commercial/residential building projects. This role requiresadherence to safety standards, precision, a strong understanding ofconstruction blueprints, physical strength, and a thorough understanding ofbuilding materials and construction techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-onexperience in large-scale commercial wood construction, an eye for detail, theability to work independently or as part of a team, and the capability toperform physically demanding tasks

YOU WILL

Construction and Installation:

· Assemble prefabricated woodstructures such as walls.

· Frame and sheath floors, decks,roofs, and stairways based on blueprints, sketches, instructions, and projectspecifications.

· Measure, cut, and shape wood andother materials using hand tools, power tools, or woodworking machines.

· Install windows, doors, and otherexterior or interior fixtures within the frame.

Blueprint Interpretation:

· Read and interpret blueprints,drawings, and technical diagrams to determine dimensions and materials requiredfor specific projects.

· Attention to architectural andstructural details is crucial.

· Ensure all framing aligns with theproject specifications and meets building codes.

Material Management and Handling:

· Select appropriate materials neededfor framing tasks, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

· Ensure all wood and relatedmaterials meet quality standards and are stored properly to prevent damage.

YOU WILL NEED

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experienceas a wood framer or carpenter in commercial construction.

· Proven experience with large-scalecommercial framing projects is highly desirable.

· Strong knowledge of constructionmethods, materials, and tools used in wood framing.

· Proficient in reading andinterpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

· Skilled in using hand and powertools such as saws, nail guns, hammers, levels, and drills.

· Excellent measurement and mathskills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work at heights and invarious weather conditions.

· Good physical stamina and theability to lift heavy materials.

· Ability to work at heights around60’.

· Valid Driver’s License or means oftransportation to project sites.

· Possessstrong communication and problem-solving skills.
