Plumbing Official I or II

The Plumbing Official II involves safeguarding public health; policing areas for non-permitted construction; providing technical advice and guidance to many internal and external partners; responding to general public inquiries; dealing with problems and suggesting corrections and/or work improvements; preparing reports; performing general office duties; and assisting other inspectors. The successful candidate for a Plumbing Official II ($44.36) must have the following qualifications: 

1. Valid BC Trades Qualification in Plumbing.
2. Must have passed the Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC Level II examination.
3. Minimum 1 year previous experience in a municipal or provincial setting or field experience directly related to enforcement of bylaws, regulations, and acts.
4. Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
    

The successful candidate for a Plumbing Official I ($38.68) must have the following qualifications: 

1. Valid BC Trades Qualification in Plumbing.
2. Must have passed the Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC Level I examination.
3. Minimum three months’ previous experience in a municipal or provincial setting or field experience directly related to enforcement of bylaws, regulations, and acts.
4. Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
