The Senior Health Economist reports to Senior Scientist, Dr. Dean Regier, within the department of Cancer Control Research.
What you’ll do
What you bring
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a PhD in Health Economics, Health Services, Health Policy or related discipline. A minimum of three (3) years related experience in a healthcare or academic research environment.You also have:
Advanced knowledge of health economics theory and demonstrated excellence in the application of health economics methods. Expert knowledge of study design, data collection and analysis. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced data manipulation, analysis and information presentation through the use of database and spreadsheet software. Working knowledge of cancer control and health systems. Ability to adapt to new technology. Excellent communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to identify, plan and execute independent work in a collaborative environment. Ability to contribute both as a team member and a team lead. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to comprehend complex issues and related data/information and present information in concise and meaningful ways. Demonstrated organization skills to generate work plans to meet project deadlines within timeline, scope and budget. Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.What we bring
