HYBRID ROLE: Will need to train a few months in office and then eventually Hybrid may work remotely but should be local to Quebec to go into office times a week or as needed.
M-F, -
BILINGUAL, but must speak FRENCH/ENGLISH.
Finance is responsible of planning & periodic and timely reporting financial information (P&L, Balance Sheet, Billing&Cash Flow…), as well as operational indicators (Orders, Backlog, Commercial KPI's, Industrial KPI's, Headcount…) for a clear view of regional business performance. We are the main biz partners of our operations teams and guide them to success with our daily activities.
We are searching for a team member to join us on a temporary basis with a possibility of permanent role based on business and candidate performance.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Participating monthly closing, running closing transactions, reporting financial and other key metrics post-closing. Able to follow-up financial implications (Sales, AR, Inventory, Provisions…) of owned transactions and raises flags when needed.
• Own planning, reporting and performance of cost and run related closing activities (functional & overhead costs, cost allocation cycles, accruals).
• Execute cost recharges (internal journal entries & external billings) and re-classes as per plan and to ensure cost accuracy.
• Execute variance analysis of owned items, ensure accurate and timely data availability as well as in depth data analysis. In case of recurring mistakes, able to identify root causes and follow-up corrective/preventive actions with operations.
• Support budgeting and planning activities.
• Support controllership activities, (Accnt. recs., DRs) as well as statutory and internal audits.
• Act as a business partner for operations on financial matters.
• Any other duties as required by line manager.
Essential Qualifications & Desired Characteristics:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Min years of experience in a similar financial position in an industrial project or manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Client business operations is a strong preferred asset.
• SAP (FI, CO, SD, PS and MM modules) knowledge is a strong preferred asset.
• PC proficiency … strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in French and English.
