Our Supply Chain Team is expanding, and we are looking for a Transportation & Logistics Specialist

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for leading inbound & outbound transportation systems focused on a few key areas; Leadership, Transportation & Vendor Management, Customs Compliance, Performance Monitoring & Reporting, Strategic Planning, and Continuous Improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Vendor Management, Strategic Planning, Team Leadership

Lead and drive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers. Negotiate rates and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and service level improvements. Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize our supply chain and meet organizational objectives. Analyze processes, identify and implement areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate across departments (procurement, production, sales) to align logistics activities with business goals. Identify opportunities to optimize transportation processes and improve efficiency. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE:

Experience in transportation and logistics management in a enterprise level manufacturing or distribution environment. A strong knowledge of transportation regulations & industry best practices. Proficiency in logistics software & tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS), Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. APICS and or CPIM certifications would be an asset.
