Based out of one of our offices located in Mississauga, Ontario or Montreal, Quebec we have an immediate full-time opportunity available within the Finance department. Credit Manager This position will report to the Director, Credit Risk Management. The incumbent is responsible for the overall credit function of Ariva ensuring operations adhere to credit policies and standards. Key responsibilities: Manage the Credit Team (4 direct reports) regarding Credit and Collection Manage credit reviews and limits, approve new accounts and customer aging Take action on past due accounts,increase in exposure/potential liability and non-performing accounts Support negotiations with Customers and the Sales organization regarding delinquent/slow accounts Create and deliver monthly credit reports to senior management highlighting key areas of concern/opportunities Other – Staff development, maintain industry knowledge, bad debt write-offs, oversee department budget, renew collection agreements with third party agencies Manage Cash Application staff - ensure accuracy, timeliness and any issues related to cash application (eg: payment remittances) Required Education / Certifications: Credit Designation (CCP) Post Secondary education – minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting Professional Experience: Proven expertise in credit risk management 5-8 years of related work experience in a Credit department as a Manager or Supervisor/Team Lead within a larger organization Previous work experience in distribution industries would be an asset Knowledge of SAP would be a definite asset Bilingual - French and English Critical Competencies: Excellent analytical skills Numerically driven and takes a prudent approach to credit risk management Confidence to make decisions Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple organizational levels Experience building and managing a Credit team Proven ability, positive approach to issues and potential problems Would you like to work for a company whose employees are the greatest asset? Gestionnaire du crédit Ce poste relèvera du Directeur, gestion du risque de crédit. Le titulaire du poste est responsable de l'ensemble de la fonction de crédit d'Ariva et veille à ce que les opérations respectent les politiques et les normes en matière de crédit. Responsabilités clés: Gérer l'équipe de crédit (4 subordonnés directs) en ce qui concerne le crédit et le recouvrement Gérer les révisions et les limites de crédit, approuver les nouveaux comptes et le vieillissement des clients Prendre des mesures concernant les comptes en souffrance, l'augmentation de l'exposition/de la responsabilité potentielle et les comptes non performants Soutenir les négociations avec les clients et l'organisation des ventes concernant les comptes en souffrance Créer et fournir des rapports de crédit mensuels à la direction générale en soulignant les principaux sujets de préoccupation et d'opportunité Autre – perfectionnement du personnel, maintien des connaissances de l’industrie, radiation des créances irrécouvrables, supervision du budget du service, renouvellement des ententes de recouvrement avec des organismes tiers Gérer le personnel chargé de l’application de paiement en espèces - assurer l’exactitude, respect des délais et tout problème lié à l’application de paiement en espèces (par exemple, les versements de paiement) Education requise / Certifications: Désignation de crédit (CCP) Formation post-secondaire - au moins un baccalauréat en finance, en administration des affaires ou en comptabilité Expertise professionnelle: Expertise reconnue en matière de gestion du risque de crédit 5 à 8 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans un service de crédit en tant que gestionnaire ou superviseur/chef d'équipe au sein d'une organisation plus vaste Une expérience du travail antérieure dans les secteurs de la distribution serait un atout Une connaissance de SAP serait un atout Bilingue - français et anglais Competences critiques: Excellentes capacités d’analyse Possède un sens aigu des chiffres et adopte une approche prudente de la gestion du risque de crédit Confiance dans la prise des décisions Capacité à collaborer et à influencer à plusieurs niveaux de l'organisation Expérience de la constitution et de la gestion d'une équipe de crédit Capacité avérée, approche positive des questions et des problèmes potentiels  Aimeriez-vous travailler pour une entreprise dont les employés constituent le plus grand atout?
