Lifeguards and Instructor Guards

Job Description

Assist in ensuring that the facility is properly maintained Keep records of every aspect of the pools operation and maintenance Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility Perform other related duties as assigned

Lifeguard:

 Perform all of the duties as above including lifesaving activities; act immediately and appropriately for the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.

Instructor Guard:

Perform all of the duties above including teaching quality swimming programs and providing excellent customer service.

Skills/Education Required

Current National Lifesaving Service Certification Current Standard First Aid and CPR qualifications Current Red Cross Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor Qualification (Instructor Guard shifts) This position requires that the successful applicant is a minimum of 15 years of age in accordance with the Health Protection and Promotion Act, Regulation 565 for Public Pools.
