ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment including but not limited to forklift, electric pallet jack and hand truck.
•    Verify documentation matches freight description (e.g., type, weight, hazardous materials), using current electronic or manual system.
•    Following all safety and loading protocols/policies/procedures utilizing appropriate tools and resources (e.g., straps, boards) plan and organize the loading sequence of freight and secure freight
•    Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary
•    Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk (e.g., chemical spills, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
•    Complete assigned tasks by following all policies and procedures (e.g., yard check) 
•    Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed 
•    Perform general housekeeping indoors and outdoors (e.g., maintaining cleanliness of facility, trailers) 
•    Assist with mentoring of new hires (e.g., freight handlers)
•    Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
•    Perform other duties as required

CONNAISSANCES, COMPÉTENCES ET HABILETÉS REQUISES
•    Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent
•    Expérience précédente en entrepôt, en manutention de fret, en conduite de chariots élévateurs et/ou en quai transversal
•    Doit posséder ou être en mesure d’obtenir un certificat de conducteur de chariot élévateur au cours de la période probatoire
•    Capacité à soulever/transporter du fret manuellement, de poids variable (par exemple, soulever des plaques de quai pesant environ 100 livres, ouvrir des portes de remorque nécessitant une force de levage d’environ 75 livres
•    Capacité à se pencher, se tourner, à se mettre en position de squat, à pousser/tirer du fret pendant toute la durée du travail
•    Capacité à effectuer des calculs mathématiques de base, avec ou sans une calculatrice
•    Capacité à travailler seul ou en l’équipe.
•    Capacité à suivre les instructions et à compléter les formations requise (en personne et sur ordinateur)
•    Excellentes compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes, avec un grand souci du détail
•    Compétences informatiques de base et capacité/volonté d'apprendre de nouvelles applications, de nouveaux logiciels, de nouveaux systèmes et de nouveaux équipements, le cas échéant.
•    Bonne compétences en matière de communication orale, écrite et de lecture
•    Bilingue (anglais/français), de préférence ; Québec, obligatoire.
CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL
•    L’horaire de travail peut varier en fonction des besoins opérationnels.
•    Capacité à entendre à un niveau permettant de reconnaître les dispositifs de sécurité tels que les klaxons, les signaux de secours et les machines dans l'environnement de travail potentiellement encombré d'un quai de chargement, d'une remorque et de la cour.
•    Environnement de quai ; exposition à des conditions météorologiques variées, aux gaz d'échappement, aux fumées, à la poussière et au bruit.
•    Contacts fréquents avec le personnel des centres de service ; rythme rapide ; respect des délais.
