Our public sector client is looking for an I/T planning Analyst for an initial 3 month contract assignment with the potential to extend.

Description
The IT planning analyst is responsible for financial forecasting and reporting, and managing requisitions and invoicing.

Responsibilities

The planning analyst's duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Track forecasted costs, and report on and explain variances;

• Support updating and distribution of dashboards

• Produce financial and ad hoc reporting

• Assist in and support aspects of IT forecasting and planning

• Create purchase requisitions and process invoices per organizational policies

• Responsible for validating, reconciling and receiving vendor invoices

• Manage requisition coding of costs to the GL for accurate reporting

• Respond to vendor inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to PO's, invoices and payments

Qualifications

SKILLS NEEDED

- 2 to 5 years experience with the following:

• Track forecasted costs, and report on and explain variances;

• Create purchase requisitions and process invoices per organizational policies

• Respond to vendor inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to PO's, invoices and payments

The planning analyst 's skills include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ability to work well with large and diverse teams;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills;

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills; and

• Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Oracle
