P&H Milling

P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. Your Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Bulk Transportation Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient transportation strategies to enhance the delivery of our flour products. This role involves analyzing transportation needs, optimizing routes, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Day to Day

Scheduling bulk deliveries daily, addressing and resolving shipment and bulk inventory issues and product returns. Collaborate with other internal and external departments and work within tight deadlines set by Customer Service and the Flour Mills. Arrange truck and trailer drop offs for repairs, maintenance and internal washes. Deal with after-hours calls on a 24/7 basis for any delivery related issues and changes. Payroll activities for all drivers. Carry out various administrative components related to freight such as detention charges, BOL’s to invoicing department.

Required Qualifications

3 Years or Greater Experience Dispatching Local Drivers, Load Planning or Pursing or have completed a post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Logistics Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite programs High level of analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Commercial Transportation legal regulations, Ontario Highway Traffic act and hours of service requirements. Descartes TMS knowledge Samsara Fleet Management knowledge Ability to independently handle multiple projects. Excellent communication, negotiating and customer service skills.
