YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

:

Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, you will be part of the Environment Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Identify non-compliances and execute continuous improvement initiatives; Carryout tasks required to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, including compliance inspections, compliance sampling (water/air/soil), environmental monitoring and worker education; Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment; Compile and analyze environmental monitoring data for regulatory reporting requirements; Collect field data in remote locations in diverse environmental conditions; Complete wildlife surveys including organization of HTO monitors; Complete shipping and analysis request; Complete spill follow up in the field; Conduct Health and Safety meetings; Ensure all field equipment is safe and in working order (boat, motor, snowmobile); Conduct Toolbox Meetings; Work safely, effectively, independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

College Diploma or equivalent in an Environmental Field; 2-5 years of field experience, preferably in mining operations; Experience handling Snowmobile, ATVs and Boats; Possess a Valid Driver’s License, Firearm Possession and Acquisition License (PAL), Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC); Experience in collecting environmental compliance data (water, air and soil quality); Ability to work in adverse weather conditions; Ability to lift 50lbs; Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
