The Role: We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable systems and solving complex technical challenges. You’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture and backend foundation of a rapidly growing AI platform, collaborating closely with product, frontend, and customer‑facing teams to deliver features that delight users and drive business impact. This is a hands‑on, high‑velocity engineering role where you’ll contribute to everything from architectural design to implementation, testing, and deployment — all within a supportive, fast‑paced team environment that values collaboration and craftsmanship. What You’ll Do: Build Scalable Systems: Design and develop backend services and APIs to support new product features and integrations. Architect for Reliability: Contribute to architectural decisions that ensure performance, resilience, and scalability. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and customer success to deliver impactful solutions. Elevate Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and follow best practices for testing and deployment. Mentor and Grow: Support and guide junior and intern engineers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for optimization and drive technical enhancements across the platform. Problem‑Solve with Impact: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues to maintain product stability and uptime. What You Bring: 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in SaaS or backend web application development. Strong foundation in Node.js , GraphQL , and GCP (similar technologies also welcome). Proven ability to design and scale high‑availability systems using modern frameworks and infrastructure. Experience working with APIs, databases, and microservices architectures. Exposure to OpenAI or AI‑powered technologies is a plus. Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to team knowledge sharing. Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and a bias for action.
