Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (PHP and Python) to develop and maintain backend services. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in both PHP and Python, follows best coding practices, and can optimize performance, security, compliance, and maintainability of applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using PHP and Python. Architect scalable and secure APIs and microservices. Optimize database queries and design efficient database structures. Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance legacy codebases for better performance. Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality applications. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices and compliance requirements, and mentor junior engineers. Implement automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines for deployment efficiency. Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in PHP and Python development. Expertise with raw PHP as well as backend frameworks. Strong proficiency in SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB). Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Familiarity with modern DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git). Strong problem-solving skills, debugging capabilities, thinking outside the box, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualification Solid experience in R.
