Join Sifton as a Supervisor, Land Operations, who leads land construction activities and ensures neighbourhoods meet Sifton’s quality standards. The role oversees planning and execution of site works—including utilities, curbs, sidewalks, fencing, landscaping, and topcoat—advancing sites from the Development Approvals team through neighbourhood assumption and final project buildout. About the Role Lead land construction operations from sale to builder through subdivision completion and municipal assumption. Ensure all site work meets approved designs, budgets, schedules, and technical/legislative standards, including all accepted Subdivision, Development and Condominium Agreements. Oversee tendering, awarding, and management of subcontractors, and support strong collaboration with the Development Approvals and Real Estate teams. Coordinate with utility providers to provide neighbourhood utility design, including Offer-to-Connect packages, joint trench installation, and final energization. Ensure utility deliverables meet Project Manager requirements. Monitor budgets and spending, providing timely cost reports, forecasts, and invoice validation. Verify construction quality and compliance through drawing interpretation, field reviews, and adherence to municipal standards. Provide on-site leadership and resolve issues with Contractors, Builders, and Homeowners while upholding Customer Experience standards. Review Erosion & Sediment Control reports and ensure corrective actions meet environmental and municipal requirements. Support Real Estate by tracking home construction progress and ensuring compliance with special provisions and approved plans. Lead and develop team members through goal-setting, coaching, and performance evaluations. Experience Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Civil Engineering Technology or a related field at an accredited Community College or University. At least 5 years of experience related to Civil Engineering and construction projects. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with external contractors and service providers to support project progress towards defined milestones. Self‑directed, flexible, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
