WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our teams located in any one of our Canadian offices, with preference for Calgary, AB; Moncton, NB; Kitchener, ON. Join our vibrant and rapidly expanding team across Canada, where you'll tackle complex energy projects from initial concepts to detailed engineering. What you can expect to do here: Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilities Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data and interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designers Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems Participate in the development of PFDs and P&IDs Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure‑drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design Mentor and guide less experienced engineers What you’ll bring to WSP: University Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience within the EPCM environment, ideally with a focus on industrial facilities Current licensed professional engineer (P.Eng, Ing, PE) in your province of practice Experience within the consulting environment desirable Previous experience with power plant or renewable natural gas plant design desirable Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD Working knowledge of SmartPlant 3D or CADworx Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe Experience using Thermoflow Salary: $96,200‑$132,200 (British Columbia) – final salary awarded may vary based on several factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
