Sous la direction du Directeur des ventes, le représentant des ventes externes sera principalement responsable de communiquer avec les clients en personne et par téléphone/courriel, de déterminer leurs besoins, de saisir leurs devis et de gérer les plaintes des clients au fur et à mesure qu'elles surviennent. Ce poste permettra de développer et de maintenir une sensibilisation aux nouveaux produits et services, aux activités des concurrents et à d'autres recherches. Ce rôle consistera également à développer et à établir des relations avec de nouveaux comptes et à développer des contacts supplémentaires au sein des comptes existants. En tant que première ligne de notre entreprise, les représentants des ventes externes maintiennent notre réputation positive auprès de nos clients actuels et futurs.

Responsabilités :

  • Maintenir un haut niveau de service à la clientèle.
  • Assister à toutes les réunions de vente de l'entreprise et/ou à d'autres événements demandés en personne.
  • Évaluer les besoins et les ressources des clients et recommander le matériel approprié pour l'application requise.
  • Prendre les commandes des clients.
  • S'assurer que les devis/estimations sont complétés et livrés dans les 24 heures suivant la réception des informations au client et aux ventes internes, sauf indication contraire du client.
  • Collaborer avec le service des ventes internes aussi souvent que possible pour les tenir informés des prix proposés, des commandes à venir et de tout problème client au fur et à mesure qu'ils surviennent.
  • Promouvoir les ventes auprès des clients existants en connaissant l'ensemble de la gamme de produits et en étant capable de suggérer des articles qui compléteraient leur commande existante.
  • Développer de nouveaux clients en promouvant les produits et services de l'entreprise.
  • Gérer les plaintes des clients au fur et à mesure qu'elles surviennent, en veillant à ce que des inspections sur site aient lieu si nécessaire et que la résolution des clients soit traitée aussi rapidement que possible.
  • Développer et maintenir une sensibilisation continue aux nouveaux produits et services, aux activités des concurrents et à d'autres recherches.
  • Établir et entretenir des relations au sein des comptes majeurs.
  • Développer et établir des relations avec de nouveaux comptes et développer des contacts supplémentaires au sein des comptes existants.
  • Transmettre les suggestions des clients concernant les produits de l'entreprise à la direction.
  • Collaborer avec divers départements, y compris les achats, l'expédition et la comptabilité, pour s'assurer que les besoins des clients sont traités aussi efficacement que possible.
  • Utiliser un ordinateur portable avec des logiciels commerciaux pour saisir des devis, vérifier la disponibilité du matériel et rechercher des commandes existantes.
  • Adapter le style de communication afin de transmettre efficacement l'information à un large éventail d'individus.
  • Avoir des réunions hebdomadaires avec le Directeur des ventes.
  • Maintenir une apparence, un comportement et une attitude professionnels en tout temps.

Exigences du poste :

  • Expérience en service à la clientèle, en particulier dans l'industrie de la construction.
  • Capacité démontrée à établir et à maintenir des relations de travail durables.
  • Capacité à identifier les problèmes et à mettre en œuvre des solutions créatives et stratégiques pour les surmonter.
  • Expérience antérieure dans le service à la clientèle sur le marché agricole.


Conditions de travail :

  • Déplacements fréquents pour visiter les clients.
  • Utilisation d'un ordinateur portable et d'un téléphone cellulaire.
  • Horaires irréguliers en raison des besoins de déplacement.
  • Communications fréquentes avec les clients et le personnel de bureau.



Job Title: Outside Salesperson (Agriculture)

Reports To: Director of Sales


Under the direction of the Director of Sales, the Outside Salesperson will primarily be responsible for communicating with customers in person and by phone/email, determining their needs, entering their quotes, and handling customer complaints as they arise. This position will build and maintain awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research. This role will also develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts. As a front line for our business, outside salespeople uphold our positive reputation with our current and future customers.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Attend all company sales meetings and/or other requested events in person.
  • Assess customers' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate material for the required application.
  • Take orders from customers.
  • Ensure Quotes/Estimates are completed and delivered within 24 hours of receipt of the information to the customer and inside sales unless otherwise specified by the customer.
  • Liaise with the inside sales department as often as possible to keep them informed of quoted prices, upcoming orders, and any customer issues as they arise.
  • Promote sales to existing clients by knowing the full product line and being able to suggest items that would complement their existing order.
  • Develop new customers through promotion of the company products and services.
  • Handle customer complaints as they arise, ensuring on-site inspections occur as needed and the customers’ resolution is handled as expeditiously as possible.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research.
  • Build and maintain relationships within major accounts.
  • Develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts.
  • Relay customer suggestions for company products to management.
  • Liaise with various departments including Purchasing, Shipping, and Accounting to ensure the customers’ needs are handled as efficiently as possible.
  • Use a laptop computer with business software to enter quotes, look up material availability, and search existing orders.
  • Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals.
  • Have weekly check-ins with the Director of Sales.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience with customer service, particularly in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting working relationships.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
  • Previous experience servicing customers in the agricultural market.


Work Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to visit customers.
  • Use of a laptop and cell phone.
  • Irregular hours due to travel needs.
  • Frequent communication with customers and the office personnel.
