Passive Equipment Engineer – Developer / Coordinator / Verifier – Key Expert Contract Duration: Estimated start March 2026; initial term of approximately 12 months with potential to extension based on project needs Work Location: Canada (supporting Romanian nuclear project); hybrid work model Work Schedule: Full-time The Passive Equipment Engineer will support the development, coordination, and verification of maintenance and reliability programs for a Romanian nuclear project. This role focuses on passive equipment and components and involves applying predictive and investigative techniques to support long‑term asset integrity and defect detection planning within a regulated nuclear environment. Experience and Role Accountabilities Develop, coordinate, and verify preventive and condition-based maintenance programs (PM, PDM, TBM, CBM) for passive equipment and associated components. Support at least one completed project involving the development of maintenance programs for equipment and/or components. Prepare simple and complex defect detection plans, including at least one completed defect detection plan. Apply predictive maintenance techniques such as Eddy Current Testing (ECT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) to assess equipment condition and degradation mechanisms. Use structured investigative and problem‑solving methodologies (e.g. Kepner‑Tregoe) to support technical investigations and root cause analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, maintenance, and asset integrity teams to ensure technical accuracy and program alignment. Provide technical input and verification support for passive equipment programs within a nuclear project environment. Education and Skills Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Engineering, or a combination of these disciplines. Minimum three (3) years of professional experience following graduation. Training in predictive techniques such as ECT and Ultrasonic Testing. Training in investigative or analytical problem‑solving methodologies. Strong technical documentation and coordination skills. Professional English communication skills, written and spoken. Must have Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting passive equipment and components. Experience developing at least one project involving PM, PDM, TBM, or CBM programs for equipment and/or components. Hands‑on experience or formal training in predictive techniques (ECT, UT). Experience preparing both simple and complex defect detection plans. Experience applying investigative methodologies such as Kepner‑Tregoe or equivalent. Nice to have Experience supporting nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated industrial projects. Experience working on international or multi‑country engineering programs. Familiarity with asset integrity management, materials degradation, and inspection planning. Experience in long‑term, program‑based contract environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
