Director of Fundraising The Director of Fundraising plays a critical leadership role within INKspire, responsible for driving the organization’s revenue strategy, securing funding, and ensuring long‑term sustainability through grants, sponsorships, donations, and innovative fundraising initiatives. This role requires coordination across internal teams and external partners and serves as a bridge between fundraising goals and programmatic success. Roles and Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Oversight Collaborate with the Co‑Executive Directors and Board of Directors to develop an annual fundraising strategy aligned with INKspire’s mission, priorities, and growth objectives. Set the agenda for the fundraising team at the beginning of each year, including high‑level goals, timelines, and revenue targets. Review and update the fundraising strategy quarterly to ensure progress is being made toward milestones and financial goals. Provide high‑level oversight of team progress, ensuring deadlines are met and that performance indicators are tracked consistently. Oversee the day‑to‑day functioning of the fundraising department, including its various sub‑units (grants, sponsorships, reporting). Delegate tasks to fundraising team leads and provide them with clear direction, context, and timelines. Conduct regular check‑ins with each lead to offer support, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure accountability. Foster collaboration across sub‑teams and serve as a leadership mentor to junior staff and volunteers. Program Development Support Collaborate with the Publishing department to co‑develop new programming initiatives that align with funder priorities and community needs. Provide strategic input on program feasibility and help identify potential funding sources during the development phase. Assist in the implementation of programs by supporting logistics, ensuring funding requirements are met, and integrating sponsors or donors when appropriate. Desired Qualifications Experience in fundraising, development, or revenue generation. A relationship‑builder and connector, able to help build awareness, and develop partnerships for INKspire. Experience in grant writing, sponsorships, crowdfunding, and other fundraising initiatives. Previous entrepreneurial, leadership, and/or coaching experience, including building and scaling teams, addressing challenges, and providing strategic advice. Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills. A collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills.
