Nackawic Mill, is currently recruiting for an Area Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance & Engineering Department. Role Overview Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide reliability and engineering support services to the entire facility to increase reliability and minimize cost in compliance with corporate principles and guidelines and applicable legislation. Responsibilities Support the Maintenance & Operational teams to increase mill reliability, minimize cost, troubleshoot and resolve repetitive maintenance failures to improve efficiency; Liaise with consultants and vendors on technical aspects of issues; Develop, communicate and implement maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guidelines to support consistency and efficiency; Support the implementation and execution of a preventative and predictive maintenance program; Support shutdown coordination; Estimate, scope and execute major maintenance and capital projects; Creation of CPA and RPA estimates for budget approval; Facilitate and implement WCM and ISO Standards Developing Systems; Manage multiple projects at any one time; Kraft/Pulp Mill experience would be considered an asset; Experienced working within a unionized environment would be considered an asset. Qualifications Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering; 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or industry; Exceptional organization, decision making and problem-solving abilities; Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Maximo, SAP, PI, and Auto CAD; Lead change and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools; Orientation towards maintenance planning and mechanical maintenance systems; Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; Strong Leadership and communication skills; Kraft/Pulp Mill experience would be considered an asset; Experience working in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
