Senior Product Manager – Core Distributed Platform – East Coast to EMEA Join Camunda as a Senior Product Manager, leading the development and evolution of our Core Distributed Platform, including Zeebe, the cloud‑native workflow engine at the heart of Camunda. This role is both technical and product‑focused, requiring deep understanding of customer needs, system scalability, performance, reliability, and security. About The Role You will work closely with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to define and execute the product strategy for our distributed workflow orchestration engine. Your responsibilities include driving the roadmap for foundational platform capabilities and ensuring the platform meets the complex requirements of distributed systems at scale. What You’ll Be Doing Define market‑driven vision, strategy, and product requirements focused on improving the Camunda product portfolio. Manage community, customer, partner, and internal feedback to drive innovation and improve customer experience. Fully evaluate and prioritize incoming feature requests. Equip the self‑managed team to work on appropriate epics. Continuously assess demand, market differentiation, competitive landscape, and collaborate with Pre‑Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and other field teams. What You Bring Ability and/or willingness to use our product. Experience with platform products used by IT departments at large enterprises (developers, automation engineers, ops teams). 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in distributed systems, technical SaaS products, PaaS, or cloud‑native products. Experience with OKRs, customer research, product design, Go‑To‑Market planning, backlog management, and Agile teams. Strong communication skills internally and externally. Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including scalability, fault tolerance, event‑driven architecture, and performance optimization. Nice‑to‑Haves Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience with IT platforms in banking, financial services, and insurance. Technical knowledge of configuring, deploying, and managing the lifecycle of platform products. Compensation Competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location‑based with standard and major markets reflecting local competition. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location and are typically in the first half of the range. Example ranges: United States: $143,800 to $231,900 Germany: €92,900 to €153,700 United Kingdom: £90,300 to £148,500 Singapore: S$178,600 to S$267,900 Equity is offered where applicable through the Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).
