The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) is responsible for the overall planning, development, marketing, and management of the commercial port facilities within the Port of Prince Rupert, while also transforming the landscape of international trade. PRPA is committed to working closely with partners and customers to deliver value‑added supply chain innovation and to create sustainable prosperity for communities, First Nations, the Province of British Columbia and Canada. Last year, 23.1 million tonnes of cargo moved through the Port, and PRPA is improving competitiveness and actively diversifying through the development of new terminal and logistics capacity. In 2024, the Port marked considerable progress on multiple strategic projects that set the stage for long‑term growth and sustainability. These developments total over $2.5 billion in capital investment and are essential to strengthening and diversifying exports, maximizing supply chain efficiency, and restoring cargo volumes. PRPA is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Vice President, People, Performance and Culture. Reporting directly to the President and CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Team, this role will shape the future of PRPA’s workforce by driving strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture. The Vice President will lead initiatives that strengthen organizational capacity and effectiveness, oversee talent acquisition and succession planning, and ensure alignment of performance management and total rewards with corporate priorities. Leading a talented HR team, the Vice President will provide strategic insight, foster innovation, and ensure PRPA has the people and organizational strength required for sustainable growth and long‑term success. The ideal candidate is an accomplished HR executive with progressive leadership experience in people and culture, organizational development, or human resources. You have a proven ability to design and deliver strategies that strengthen culture, enhance the employee experience, and build organizational capability. Your background includes expertise in workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and total rewards, along with a strong record of leading change. As a strategic thinker and trusted advisor, you bring exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and leadership skills, fostering inclusivity, collaboration, and accountability across all levels. Guided by PRPA’s core values of integrity, sustainability, teamwork, diversity, and innovation, you are energized by creating environments where people can thrive and organizations can succeed. A post‑graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Commerce is preferred, though a Bachelor’s degree with extensive, relevant experience is also valued. A Master’s degree or professional HR designation is an asset. The base salary range for this role is $210,000.00 - $240,000.00 + STIP + Benefits.
