Senior Finance Analyst - Global Security and Defence Location: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaHours: 37.5Line of Business: FinancePay: $81,600 – $115,200 CAD per year (base; discretionary variable compensation available) Job Description The Senior Finance Analyst reports to the Finance Manager supporting the Global Security and Defence (GSD) team under the Protect Platform. The role oversees monthly financial reporting, conducts in-depth analysis, and assists forecasting and planning initiatives. It requires strong analytical capability, business acumen, and the ability to translate data into clear insights for executive decision‑making, aligning operational decisions with financial objectives to drive shareholder value. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with GSD team, Business Operations, and Vendor Management to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Analyze monthly results versus budget/forecast, identifying variance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare executive‑level presentations, briefing leadership on current and projected performance. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, reviewing transactions and executing necessary ledger entries. Monitor vendor costs, contracts, and licensing, maintaining a database of costs and renewal schedules. Perform ad‑hoc assignments, such as reviewing business cases and updating financial models. Drive continuous improvement to enhance reporting insights, transparency, and efficiency. Skills and Competencies Extensive FP&A experience. Strong stakeholder relationship building. Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills. Leadership and ownership of processes. Highly organized with strong time‑management. Ability to distill large data sets into actionable information. Thrives in fast‑paced, changing environments. Manages multiple projects concurrently. Expertise in accounting guidelines and rules. Education & Experience University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA, CFA, or other professional designations desirable. 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, analytics, or accounting. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems such as Hyperion SmartView, Oracle BI (Tableau, Alteryx desirable). Work Activities Collaborative activities and individual deliverables; expected to work onsite 4 days a week starting 3 Nov 2025, with flexibility based on business needs.
